Engineer

Job Description

As part of an Agile scrum team, the Engineer will be attending stand ups, getting assigned tasks and stories, and primarily focus on coding related tasks. Right now, they will be working on a workstream that is primarily focusing on development in Go but will also need to work on some tasks related to JavaScript and Java. They will be working on privacy and compliance workstream as well as platform related efforts. The major focus is a user consent management platform, primarily on the company's internal inter-source backend, with some frontend application backend services (internal not customer facing). Individuals need a good balance between Go and Java. Go resources will take the backend APIs and focus on rewriting them in Go targeting GCP. Experience working professionally with messaging queues, preferably Kafka, is required to be successful in this role.

Skills and Requirements

Experience with both Java and Go

JavaScript - React, Node or Angular

PostgreSQL and Couchbase preferred

Cloud experience with GCP, AWS or Azure

Experience with messaging queues, preferably Kafka (must have been hands-on, not just knowledge)
