Grant Accountant
Position Overview:
JCC Association of North America is seeking a driven and detail-oriented Grant Accountant to join our team. As a Grant Accountant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial success of our organization by managing all financial aspects of our grant funding. You will work closely with our finance team to oversee the accounting process for grants, track grant expenditures, provide financial reporting and analysis, and ensure compliance with grant regulations. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and manage grant budgets, ensuring accuracy and compliance with grant regulations
- Monitor grant expenses and revenue and ensure timely and accurate recording
- Conduct regular reviews of grant spending to identify areas for cost savings and efficiencies
- Prepare and submit financial reports and invoices to grant funders
- Work closely with program and development teams to ensure grant funds are being utilized appropriately
- Develop and maintain financial trackers and schedules to monitor grant activity and forecasts
- Participate in the grant proposal process by providing budgeting and financial information
- Provide financial support and guidance to program managers for grant budget development and management
- Stay updated on all changes and updates to grant regulations and ensure compliance for all grants
- Work closely with auditors and provide necessary documentation for grant audits
- Assist with general accounting duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant accounting or financial management in a nonprofit setting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles
- Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Detail-oriented and able to produce accurate work in a fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and a team player
