Position Summary

We are seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Fashion Designer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of fashion trends, garment construction, and product development while thriving in a fast-paced apparel environment. This role works closely with design, technical design, production, merchandising, and sales teams to develop innovative collections from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop seasonal fashion trends, inspiration, color palettes, and trend boards.
• Shop at the market for inspiration samples and competitive research.
• Create original artwork, CADs, and technical sketches for Men's, Boys', and Pet apparel.
• Develop detailed Tech Packs (TPs) with accurate garment specifications.
• Organize and prepare showroom racks for Market Week and buyer presentations.
• Assist in presenting seasonal collections and fashion trends to buyers.
• Coordinate meeting recaps, assign style numbers, and maintain design documentation.
• Prepare and maintain line sheets, sample trackers, and CAD line sheets for Walmart costing and product development.
• Review development and production samples, providing detailed fit, construction, and design comments.
• Evaluate and approve lab dips, fabric submits, trims, and quality submissions.
• Attend development and production fittings, documenting revisions and ensuring design intent is maintained.
• Participate in internal cross-functional meetings, buyer presentations, and product handoff meetings.
• Maintain an organized sample library and showroom to ensure collections are presentation ready.
• Collaborate with technical design, production, merchandising, and fellow designers to ensure projects are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting seasonal calendars and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field preferred.
• 5 years of apparel design experience.
• Experience designing Men's, Boys', and/or Pet apparel is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of garment construction, fabrics, trims, and apparel manufacturing.
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Microsoft Office.
• Experience creating CADs, Tech Packs, and line sheets.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
