Grovehouse—the hospitality group behind Chef Missy Robbins’ acclaimed Williamsburg restaurants Lilia, Misi, and Misipasta—believes great hospitality starts with how we support our team. We’re looking for an HR Administrator to help manage the core HR operations that keep our restaurants running smoothly, from payroll and onboarding to compliance and benefits.


This onsite, Brooklyn-based role is ideal for someone who understands hospitality culture, is highly organized, and is eager to grow their HR career in a collaborative, values-driven environment.


Responsibilities

  • Accurately process payroll for all locations weekly
  • Maintain organized and audit-ready employment documentation (I-9s, wage notices, training records)
  • Run regular compliance audits and resolve any gaps proactively
  • Track insurance certificates and required workplace postings
  • Support all new team members through a structured onboarding process
  • Maintain accurate digital employee files in Drive and Paycom
  • Ensure all documentation meets federal, state, and local compliance requirements
  • Coordinate monthly health insurance and 401(k) enrollments
  • Maintain and track important internal dates - including birthdays, anniversaries, performance evaluations, and eligibility windows (benefits, wage increases, PTO tiers).
  • Prepare employment letters, reference verifications, and internal documentation
  • Serve as a clear and reliable point of contact for routine HR questions
Requirements
  • Experience in hospitality, restaurant operations, or HR administration
  • Team-oriented, highly motivated, and exceptionally detail-oriented
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Clear, professional communication skills
  • Comfort with technology and HRIS platforms (Paycom a plus!)
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion
Preferred

  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Familiarity with NYC/NY State labor regulations
