Job Summary: The Programmer/Analyst will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications using SQL Server, C#, VB.NET, API coding, and the Microsoft technology stack. The ideal candidate will have experience in these areas and a proven track record of successful projects. This job will be on-site in our Battery Park NYC office. Candidate will work closely with both technical and operational management to analyze requirements and deliver robust and scalable software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain software applications using SQL Server, C#, VB.NET, and other Microsoft technologies.
- Work within SQL Server Management Studio to create and manage tables, stored procedures, views, scripts, etc.
- Develop and consume APIs to integrate with third-party systems and services.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, and translate them into technical specifications.
- Write clean, scalable, and efficient code following best practices and industry standards.
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Troubleshoot and resolve software defects and issues in a timely manner.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and industry trends to ensure the continuous improvement of our software solutions.
- Contribute to the development of project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and risk management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, with a focus on SQL Server, C#, VB.NET, and API coding.
- Proficiency in SQL Server and SSMS, including tables, stored procedures.
- Expertise in C# and VB.NET programming languages.
- Experience with API development and integration (RESTful and/or SOAP).
- Solid understanding of the Microsoft technology stack (e.g., .NET Framework, .NET Core, Visual Studio, Azure).
- Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) is a plus.
- Experience in a financial systems environment is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
