L&E Workplace Class Action Associate Attorney - NY (Mid-Sr)
LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY
Location: New York, NY
HYBRID (4 days/week in-office)
Our client, a prominent AmLaw 100 international law firm , is seeking a talented junior to mid-level Associate Attorney to join their premier Labor & Employment Group in New York . This role offers the opportunity to represent a dynamic client base in complex labor and employment (L&E) litigation and handle sophisticated transactional employment work.
Candidate Profile
- JD from a top-tier law school with an excellent academic record
- Active Bar Admission in New York , in good standing
- 6-8 years of substantive employment litigation experience
Experience in defending wage and hour claims and class/collective actions
- Demonstrated experience drafting key legal documents , handling discovery , depositions , motions , pleadings , and trial preparation
- Highly proficient in prioritization and able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously
- Strong legal writing and negotiation skills, along with a high sense of urgency
- Ability to work efficiently within a team-focused, high-performance environment
- Commitment to delivering exceptional client service and maintaining strong professional relationships
- Large law firm experience preferred
Key Responsibilities
- Manage employment litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Conduct due diligence review, handle discovery and depositions , and contribute to trial preparation
- Draft pleadings , motions , briefs , and other litigation-related documents
Defend wage and hour claims, including class and collective actions
Collaborate with colleagues to develop case strategy and deliver exceptional client service
- Maintain clear, client-ready communication and deliver practical guidance
- Balance competing priorities in a fast-paced practice

Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive Salary : Expected annual base salary range is $350,000-$400,000+ , as determined by experience and market factors
