The Neurophysiology and Cognition Lab led by Dr. Shlomit Beker, PhD, ( invites applications for a postdoctoral positon. The research is done on electrophysiological data (EEG and recordings from the periphery) collected through computerized and social tasks, from individuals with autism and other neurodevelopmental disorders. The Beker lab at the Seaver Autism Center studies children and adults with autism and rare genetic disorders, and how they interact with their immediate environment. We apply advanced signal analysis approaches to address questions on cognition and social interaction in these clinical populations.

Responsibilities

The Seaver Autism Center at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is recognized for its leadership in autism research. Our team is dedicated to studying the biological underpinnings of autism and rare genetic disorders. Mount Sinai offers a rich, interdisciplinary environment, supporting cutting-edge research across diverse areas in neuroscience, translational science and related fields.

Qualifications

The candidate must have:

  • PhD in neuroscience, cognitive science or related fields, experience with electrophysiology (humans or animals), strong background in signal analysis and computational modeling, good interpersonal skills, and a strong passion to advancing scientific understanding of human cognition in disorders.

Compensation range from 72K to 72K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
