Business Support Specialist
Business Support SpecialistThe Southern Adirondack Child Care Network, a not-for-profit child care resource center, is seeking a business support specialist to provide business and management related training and technical assistance to child care providers and to recruit and assist those interested in opening a child care program.
Responsibilities include:
- Assessment of the business needs of child care programs.
- Work with the Child Care Network’s Provider Services Team to plan and provide business related technical assistance, support, and training for the child care community with the intent to enhance the quality of business practices and the sustainability of programs.
- Assist programs in maintaining adequate business records and an annual operating budget.
- Develop and use tools to evaluate training and technical assistance services.
- Work with other stakeholders to recruit and provide start up assistance to people interested in opening a child care program.
- Participate in county, regional, and state-wide committees providing representation from the early childhood perspective.
- Ability to successfully conduct diverse responsibilities of this position.
- Associate’s degree in a business-related field or Early Childhood Program Administration preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of record keeping, program management and other related business skills required.
- Early childhood business management experience is helpful.
- Ability to use strength-based approach to adult learning.
- Excellent relationship building, communication and organizational skills required.
- Demonstrated experience with computers.
- Must have an insured vehicle and be legally able to drive.
