Impact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking a Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist to fill an opening with a multi-specialty practice located in Bronx, New York.
Responsibilities
- Operating CT Scanners: CT technologists operate sophisticated CT equipment to produce detailed images of the body's internal structures.
- Patient Positioning: They precisely position patients on the scanning table, ensuring proper alignment for optimal image acquisition.
- Administering Contrast Agents: When required, CT technologists administer contrast agents (often intravenously) to enhance the visibility of specific tissues or organs.
- Monitoring Patients: They closely monitor patients during the scanning process, observing for any adverse reactions or complications.
- Image Quality Control: CT technologists review images for clarity, sharpness, and accuracy, making adjustments to scanning parameters as needed.
- Maintaining Equipment: They perform routine checks and basic maintenance on the CT scanner to ensure proper functioning.
Patient Care and Communication:
- Patient Education: CT technologists explain the CT scan procedure to patients, addressing their concerns and providing reassurance.
- Radiation Safety: They strictly adhere to radiation safety protocols to minimize radiation exposure to both patients and themselves.
- Communication: Effective communication with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals is crucial.
- Collaboration: CT technologists work closely with radiologists to interpret images and contribute to diagnosis and treatment planning.
Requirements
- Must have an Associate or a Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic technology, Radiology, or a related field
- Must have a New York State License
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) Certification is preferred
- Any medical background (EMT, CMA, Medical Assistant) is preferred
- New Graduates are welcome to apply

- The salary for this position is up to $60 / hr.
