Assistant Manager: Wine Enthusiast (Luxury Home & Lifestyle Retail)
About the Brand:
For more than 40 years, Wine Enthusiast has helped people create exceptional wine experiences at home. While our heritage is rooted in wine culture, our retail boutiques are not wine stores . Instead, we specialize in premium wine refrigerators, custom wine storage, furniture, glassware, entertaining essentials, and thoughtfully curated accessories for collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Our boutiques are destination retail environments where customers receive expert guidance in selecting products that enhance their homes, lifestyles, and entertaining spaces. In addition to personalized consultations, we host private events and community experiences that celebrate craftsmanship, design, and hospitality.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and service-driven Assistant Store Manager to join our boutique, powered by the Leap Platform, in SoHo . This opportunity is ideal for an experienced retail leader with a strong sales orientation who thrives in a premium, consultative selling environment and is passionate about developing teams, driving business results, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
This is a lifestyle retail environment—not a traditional wine sales or tasting room position. Our team helps customers discover premium wine storage solutions, refrigeration, furniture, and lifestyle accessories through a personalized, consultative approach.
As the Store Manager’s right hand and second-in-command, you will work in close partnership with the Store Manager to lead the business, sharing ownership of sales performance, team development, customer experience, and day-to-day execution. You will be highly visible on the sales floor, leading by example, coaching and developing the team, and helping customers discover thoughtful, personalized solutions. As a key member of the leadership team, you will be empowered to make decisions, drive business priorities, and take ownership of the boutique’s performance while ensuring the team is aligned, supported, and set up for success.
Hourly Pay Range: $29 – $33/hr.
Compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience, skills, competencies, and qualifications. This position is commission eligible.
