Restaurant Manager

We are excited to announce the opening of a new Japanese Fine Dining restaurant and are seeking a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our team. The ideal candidate will oversee daily operations, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold the highest standards of hospitality. This role offers an opportunity to be part of a prestigious culinary establishment, bringing authentic Japanese cuisine to our community. We are looking for a skilled and motivated Manager to join our leadership team and help shape the culture and operations of our restaurant from day one.
The Manager is a key member of the FOH leadership team, responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring top-tier guest service, and leading a team of hosts, servers, bartenders, and support staff. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.
Key Responsibilities:
· Supervise and support front-of-house staff, including hosts, servers, bartenders, and support staff
· Ensure smooth daily operations from opening to closing
· Maintain exceptional service standards, including guest satisfaction and attention to detail
· Train, coach, and mentor FOH team members, instilling values such as teamwork, respect, mindfulness, and positivity
· Manage scheduling, shift coverage, and workflow during lunch and dinner services
· Collaborate with the leadership team to maintain operational efficiency and service quality
· Address and resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally
· Uphold all health, safety, and compliance standards
Qualifications:
· Minimum 3–5 years of managerial experience in fine dining, ideally Japanese or other high-end cuisine
· Strong leadership and team-building skills
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
· Ability to manage high-pressure, fast-paced service periods
· Knowledge of POS systems, reservations platforms, and FOH operations
· Passion for hospitality and dedication to creating unforgettable guest experiences
Preferred:
· Japanese fine dining with experience in upscale cocktail bar management highly preferred
· Experience in a new restaurant opening
What We Offer:
· Competitive salary: $75,000-90,000/year
· Full-time schedule, 40-50 hours/week
