QA Technician

Job Description

• Product quality focused role within food manufacturing

• Quality ownership from start to finish of the process

• Visual inspections

• Weight and size verification

• Monitoring raw materials such as flour and other ingredients

• Ensuring product meets specifications and standards

• Heavy paperwork requirements

o Very manual processes

o Significant Excel based documentation

• Walking the floor and inspecting production in a large kitchen environment

• Standing, walking, and reaching throughout the shift

• Hot environment due to fryers

o Company provides uniforms

Training & Background

• Does not need deep end to end QA expertise

• Open to training candidates with foundational QA experience

• Full training provided from the ground up

• Trainer is Melissa, who grew internally from the outlet

• QA backgrounds considered from:

o Food manufacturing strongly preferred

o Pharmaceutical or other FDA regulated industries acceptable

• FDA regulated experience is critical

• SQF experience is a plus

Skills and Requirements

• 1+ year of QA experience

• Food manufacturing experience required

• Strong attention to detail

• Consistency and reliability in work output

• Comfortable with manual documentation

• Microsoft skills required:

o Excel

o PowerPoint

o Outlook

• Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred

• Sunday to Tuesday: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM

• Wednesday to Thursday: 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM

• Days off: Friday and Saturday Compensation & Benefits

• $20 to $25 per hour

• 2 weeks vacation

• Virtual interviews acceptable, on site preferred

• New QA Manager will also interview

• Offer decisions made immediately when possible

• Criminal background check turnaround same day
