• Night Shift – 3x12 Hour Shifts
• 7:30 PM – 8:00 AM
• 34.5 Hours Per Week
• 11.5 Hours Per Day
• 3 Days Per Week

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Medical/Surgical nursing for an acute care assignment in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will have recent experience in a high-volume hospital setting and demonstrate strong clinical skills in caring for pre-operative and post-operative patients in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans
• Deliver direct bedside nursing care to medical and surgical patients
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapy as prescribed
• Perform wound care, catheterization, and infection prevention procedures
• Monitor patient conditions, vital signs, and cardiac telemetry when applicable
• Identify and report changes in patient status promptly
• Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment as needed
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, recovery, and post-discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation, charting, and medical records
• Adhere to hospital policies, nursing standards, and patient safety protocols

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg nursing experience in an acute care hospital required
• Most recent Med/Surg experience must be within the past year
• Experience with physical assessments, medication administration, IV therapy, wound care, telemetry monitoring, and post-operative care required
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Active New York State RN License required
• Current AHA BLS Certification required
• AHA ACLS Certification preferred
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred
