Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatrics

Location: NYC, NY 10037

Schedule: 3 x 11.5-hour shifts (34.5 hours per week) / 13 Weeks

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to pediatric patients in an acute care setting. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical skills, experience in Med/Surg or rehabilitation, and the ability to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
• Provide direct bedside care to pediatric patients, including pre- and post-operative care.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Perform clinical procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, and dressing changes.
• Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment and document patient progress.
• Monitor vital signs and promptly report any adverse reactions.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and post-care instructions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation.
• Adhere to nursing standards, protocols, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Rehabilitation experience in a large acute care hospital.
• Strong expertise in physical assessment, medication administration, and wound care.
• Knowledge of infection control practices and IV therapy.
• Experience in post-operative care and telemetry monitoring.
• Excellent patient care, education, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with EPIC EMR system.

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (required)

Certifications & Licensure

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – New York State (Primary Source Verified)
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support) Certification required
