Registered Nurse – Urgent Care
Location: Saratoga Springs, NY
Assignment Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Day Shift | 3x12s | Variable Start Times (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 9:30 PM)
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Urgent Care Registered Nurse for a high-volume urgent care setting in Saratoga Springs, New York. The ideal candidate will have strong emergency department or urgent care experience and be comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment caring for patients across a broad range of acuity levels.
Candidates should possess excellent triage, telemetry, and patient assessment skills while delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care in an urgent care environment
- Perform patient triage, assessments, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications and treatments using Omnicell medication systems
- Interpret cardiac rhythms and monitor telemetry patients
- Maintain accurate documentation within Epic EMR
- Collaborate with providers and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care
- Float within scope of practice based on departmental needs
Requirements
- Active New York RN license required
- Minimum 5 years of current Urgent Care and/or Emergency Department experience preferred
- BLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required
- Epic charting experience required
- Experience with Omnicell medication systems required
- Telemetry skills required
- Must successfully pass hospital rhythm interpretation testing with:
- Greater than 80% rhythm identification accuracy
- 100% accuracy identifying critical rhythms
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS certification
- Triage experience
- Level I Trauma experience
