As a member of our CIM group, working specifically excise tax and renewable energy credits group (E/E) you will be responsible for the following job duties which are focused around two core concepts: your technical and quality expertise and delivering excellent client service:


Responsibilities:

• Assist with tax planning and research, as it relates to the excise tax and renewable energy credits within the following areas:
  • Federal excise tax (fuel, heavy vehicles, air transportation, manufacturers taxes, environmental taxes, etc.)
  • Investment tax credit (ITC)
  • Production tax credit (PTC)
  • Carbon capture and sequestration credit
  • Electric vehicles and refueling property credits
  • Renewable fuel credits

• Assist in implementing multiple projects simultaneously, which include client interviews, computations, analysis, data gathering, and coordination of resources
• Assist with drafting opinion letters and writing other technical memoranda
• Develop an understanding of client's business
• Help drive the success of multiple R&D, or federal credits engagements
• Maintain competency through continuing education and obtaining additional professional certifications

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent from an accredited university
• Travel to assigned client locations is required. Must have access to and ability to arrange for use of reliable modes of transportation to those locations
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred

Preferred Qualifications:

• Working toward the successful completion of the CPA exam
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to work effectively on a team
• Ability to work and multitask in a fast-paced environment
