Staff Accountant

A DAY IN THE LIFE
As the Staff Account, you will be responsible for entering approved invoices, credit card statements, and employee reimbursements on the Accounts Payable System, ensuring compliance with all state and federal tax and regulatory requirements. In addition, you will ensure all monthly invoices have been approved and present for payment. You will generate weekly ACH files/check runs; including necessary reports and spreadsheets. You will also maintain various general ledger account reconciliations, monitor and process NYS sales tax submission, decision daily unposted items, and other general accounting duties. You are extremely attentive to detail and accuracy, because you know that your work directly affects client satisfaction. You are always friendly and patient, always providing the exceptional customer service for which we are known.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate's degree in Accounting or related field required; bachelor's degree preferred. Three years prior Accounting/Finance experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Must have a demonstrated aptitude for working with large amounts of data with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be a self-starter with strong analytical skills.
- Computer skills including Excel required.
