Job Summary: Salas O'Brien is looking to fill a contract graphic designer position for corporate marketing for the New York State Energy Research & Development Authority (NYSERDA). This role will support marketing across NYSERDA with their creative services team. Job tasks include:

• Support lead designer and follow New York State branding to create/design various print and digital project types that include signage and event materials; fact sheets, postcards and business cards; infographics/motion graphics and PowerPoint slide decks
• Create documents that are accessible for web and media posting
• Support management of NYSERDA's photo library by uploading assets and maintaining meta data

The ideal candidate should have:

• Bachelor's degree in graphic design
• 3+ years experience working in graphic design field
• Strong graphic design skills with eye toward creativity, composition and typography
• Ability to grasp new concepts quickly with excellent capacity to retain knowledge
• Ability to work in fast-paced work environment with excellent time management and multitasking skills
• Effective problem-solving skills and resourcefulness
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to create form fillable PDF documents with Adobe Acrobat
• Knowledge of web accessibility
• Knowledge video creation/editing, HTML and CSS
• Excellent working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite - specifically InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop - (Premier and Firefly a plus)
• Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially PowerPoint)
• Ability to prepare files for print and digital
• Strong graphic design skills with an eye towards creativity, composition, a d typography

Compensation: This is a full-time position as a Salas O'Brien employee working remotely. Benefits include a health insurance plan, a 401K profit sharing plan, and PTO. The position offers competitive compensation with an anticipated annual salary range of $60,000 to $80,000, based on candidate experience. Location : Remote; candidates must be based in New York, NY.
