Assistant Maintenance Superintendent
Operations Management (Leadership / Critical Thinking)
- Assist the Superintendent in supervising daily operations of the Maintenance Department.
- Ensure CDTA provides safe and reliable transportation at a reasonable cost.
- Manage staff scheduling and work assignments to meet service needs.
- Interpret and apply union contract provisions in daily supervision.
- Oversee the maintenance and repair of the bus fleet and support vehicles.
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and regulations.
- Monitor fleet condition and coordinate preventative maintenance programs.
- Utilize maintenance software to track work orders and maintenance history.
- Prepare reports using Microsoft Excel.
- Maintain communication with Operations regarding vehicle availability.
- Education : High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree in a related field preferred.
- Experience : Significant experience in Maintenance and bus operations/supervision.
- Skills : Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Knowledge of company policy and union contracts.
- Leadership : Leadership courses and significant managerial experience required.
