Project Manager/Estimator
Construction Trades Staffing has partnered with a respected commercial contractor known for its quality, integrity, and long‑standing client partnerships.
We’re seeking an experienced Project Manager/Estimator to join their growing team and oversee commercial construction projects from concept through completion.
This is a direct hire opportunity with a stable, well‑established company.
Job Duties:
- Manage commercial construction projects, including renovations, additions, and tenant improvements
- Prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and project proposals
- Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents
- Conduct site visits and monitor project progress
- Maintain strong communication with clients, architects, and internal teams
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Track costs, change orders, and project documentation
- Coordinate subcontractors, schedules, materials, and jobsite logistics
- Review drawings, specifications, and scope documents
- Conduct site visits and monitor project progress
- Maintain strong communication with clients, architects, and internal teams
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Track costs, change orders, and project documentation

Qualifications:
- 3–5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management and/or estimating
- Strong understanding of construction methods, scheduling, and subcontractor coordination
- Ability to read blueprints and technical documents
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Proficiency with project management or estimating software
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites
These are the mandatory Requirements for this position:
- A minimum of three (3) years of client-facing or sales experience
- A minimum of three (3) years of estimating experience, including:
1. Bid Process Management—all steps from bid requests to project buyout.
2. Scoping—understanding all subtrades well enough to develop bid scopes.
3. Takeoff Skills—square feet, cubic yards, square yards, lineal feet, areas, etc.

4. Experience in self-performing estimating is preferable.
5. Prior work products should be available for our review.
6. Our client works primarily in the seven counties of WNY, and they have clients from Erie, PA, to Syracuse, NY. Out-of-town travel may be required for some projects.
7. This position is a full-time, office-based position. Working from home is not an option.
8. This position is a salary position requiring a typical commitment of 50 hours per week.
Some weeks less; some weeks more.
9. You must work well within a team.
10. Collaboration, time management, prioritization of tasks, and attention to detail are all critical life skills for this position.
11. A 10-Hour OSHA Card is mandatory; training for a 30-Hour OSHA Card will be provided within the first year.
