Backend Developer (Mid-Level Python/Go)
Base salary in the range of $100,000 to $140,000 plus equity. Minimum Experience Required: 2+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python or Go. Work Authorization: Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States. We cannot sponsor work visas at this time. Location: 100% Remote

The Opportunity: We're looking for a Mid-Level Backend Developer to join our team and help us craft the core of our platform. You'll design, build, and scale our backend systems. What You'll Do:
Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Python or Go.
Build and consume RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL endpoints.
Work with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) to optimize data storage and retrieval.
Implement robust authentication and authorization mechanisms.
Contribute to system architecture and scalability discussions.
Write unit and integration tests.
Participate in code reviews and mentor junior developers (if you're into that!).
Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams.
Tackle challenging technical problems with creativity.
What You Bring:
2+ years of professional experience in backend development with Python or Go.
Solid understanding of software engineering principles.
Experience with at least one relational database (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) or NoSQL database (e.g., MongoDB, Redis).
Familiarity with API design (RESTful or GraphQL).
Experience with version control (e.g., Git).
A passion for clean, well-documented, and testable code.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Bonus Points:
Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience with message queues (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
Contributions to open-source projects.
Familiarity with testing frameworks (e.g., pytest, Go testing).
