Title: Leasing Assistant
Salary: $45,000–$55,000
Location: Onsite across LIC, Brooklyn, and the Lower East Side
A well-established and growing New York City real estate organization is seeking a polished, personable, and highly organized Leasing Assistant to join its expanding residential leasing team. The Leasing Assistant will provide administrative and customer-facing support to an experienced team of Leasing Agents and Leasing Managers. This person will help keep daily leasing activity organized, maintain accurate apartment listings and pricing information, communicate with prospective residents, and support the team throughout the leasing process. This position is focused on leasing activity and prospective residents. It does not involve managing resident complaints or ongoing tenant relations. Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to the leasing team.
- Post, update, and maintain apartment listings across applicable platforms.
- Organize and maintain apartment availability, pricing, and leasing information.
- Answer incoming telephone calls and respond to emails professionally and promptly.
- Assist prospective residents throughout the leasing process.
- Help coordinate appointments, follow-ups, documentation, and next steps.
- Prepare, organize, and maintain leasing documents and electronic files.
- Track open items and follow through until each request or assignment is completed.
- Support the team with spreadsheets, reports, correspondence, and general administrative responsibilities.
- Assist with coverage at different residential properties as business needs require.
Qualifications
- At least one year of administrative, customer service, hospitality, sales support, leasing, or other client-facing experience.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Polished and professional verbal and written communication.
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with prospective residents.
- Reliable, responsive, and consistent with follow-through.
- Ability to multitask and adjust quickly when priorities change.
- Strong computer skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Professional presentation and customer-service mindset.
- Comfortable working onsite and traveling between assigned New York City properties.
- Real estate or residential leasing experience is preferred but not required.
- A college degree is welcomed but not required.

Schedule
- This is a fully onsite position with a set five-day schedule and two consecutive days off each week.
- The anticipated schedule is Wednesday through Sunday.
- Weekend availability is required.
- The team strongly prefers availability on Thursdays and Fridays.
- Monday through Saturday hours are generally 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
- Sunday hours are generally 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
