Pierro, Connor & Strauss, LLC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Estate Administration Paralegal to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys in managing the administration of estates, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of probate procedures, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Compensation:

$65,000 - $75,000 yearly

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the entire estate administration process from inception to closure.
  • Prepare and file probate documents, petitions, and related court forms.
  • Coordinate communication with courts, clients, beneficiaries, and other relevant parties.
  • Conduct legal research on probate laws, regulations, and case precedents.
  • Analyze complex legal issues related to estate administration and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Review legal documents, including wills, trusts, and other estate planning instruments.
  • Prepare correspondence, affidavits, and other legal documents as needed.
  • Communicate with clients to gather necessary information and provide updates on the status of estate administration.
  • Address client inquiries and concerns with professionalism and empathy.
  • Oversee the management of estate assets, including financial accounts, real estate, and personal property.
  • Work closely with financial institutions, appraisers, and other professionals involved in the estate settlement process.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws governing estate administration.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to streamline workflow and ensure efficient case management.
Qualifications:

Education and Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
  • Additional certification in estate planning or administration is a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as an estate administration paralegal.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing complex estate administration cases.

Skills:

  • Proficient in legal research, document drafting, and case management.
  • Strong knowledge of probate laws and procedures.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client service skills.
  • Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Technology:

  • Proficient in legal case management software, preferably Clio and/or NetDocuments.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
