Mold Maker
Overview
A growing injection molding manufacturer west of Manhattan, NY is looking to add a Mold Maker / Mold Repair Technician to its toolroom team. Whether you’re early in your career or a seasoned mold maker with years of hands-on experience, this company values people who take pride in their craft and want to grow with a team that appreciates strong work ethic and precision workmanship.
Key Responsibilities
Repair, maintain, and build injection molds and mold components.
Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble tooling to ensure optimal performance.
Operate manual milling machines, grinders, and other shop equipment.
Support EDM (wire and sinker) and CNC operations as needed.
Troubleshoot tooling issues and assist in developing long-term repair solutions.
Maintain an organized, safety-focused, and efficient work area.
Qualifications
Background in mold repair, toolmaking, or precision machining.
Manual machining or grinding experience required; EDM or CNC experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret detailed mold and part drawings.
Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
