Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Instructor (All Levels – Children, Teens, Adults)

About the Role

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) instructor to join our dynamic MMA school. The ideal candidate has hands-on coaching experience across all ages and proficiency levels, with a proven ability to teach both gi and no-gi BJJ.

What You’ll Do

Plan and deliver engaging BJJ classes for children, teens, and adults (all skill levels).

Teach both gi and no-gi formats, including fundamentals, positional sparring, and live rolling.

Develop individualized progressions, belt track systems, and class outcomes.

Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive training environment.

Demonstrate techniques with clear, scalable progressions and provide constructive feedback.

Prepare athletes for competition if desired (tournament prep, strategy, and weight management).

Must-Haves

Minimum 3–5 years of BJJ coaching experience; competition experience a plus.

Demonstrated ability to teach across age ranges (kids, teens, adults).

Proficiency in gi and no-gi instruction.

Strong communication, leadership, and classroom management skills.

First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu purple belt or higher (or equivalent competitive credentials) preferred.

Nice-to-Haves

Experience integrating BJJ with MMA training.

Youth program development and curriculum design.

Coaching certifications from recognized BJJ associations.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
