Summary

We are seeking a skilled Java Developer to join our dynamic team at BlueSun Technologies.

The New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH) Division of Epidemiology's Bureau of Surveillance and Data Systems is charged to maintain and enhance the statewide Communicable Disease Electronic Surveillance System (CDESS). This is a mission critical electronic system to effectively monitor and respond to over 75 reportable diseases and to other public health emergencies and inform statewide policy decisions.

Responsibilities:

Program in the full range of Java EE web technologies, configure and support files required for the development of CDESS surveillance system focusing on Hepatitis and STD related modules.

Participate in system design meetings, implement user requirements in the form of business rules, use cases and web page mockups.

Perform unit and regression testing scripts.

Provide system technical documentation.

Design data logic and physical models.

Gather data migration rules and perform data migration.

Manage tasks assigned to programmers within the project team.

Required:

84 months experience in using WebLogic application server.

84 months experience using one or more framework (Spring/myBatis are preferred).

84 months experience in the design, implementation and deployment of Java SE, JDBC, Java Servlets and JavaScript with relational database model applications.

84 months experience with relational database and SQL.

84 months experience in system design and system specification documentation.

84 months experience in using web services.

84 months experience working with java-based service-oriented architecture.

84 months experience in unit testing framework and GIT and/or CVS source code control.

Bachelor's Degree.
