Lead Product Manager - Core AI

About the role:
We are looking to add an experienced Product Lead to drive our Core AI team. This team plays a critical role at you.com : from developing innovative AI experiences that help users engage with AI capabilities intuitively, to crafting and executing product strategies that leverage the latest advancements in AI technology. This role is fundamental to keeping you.com at the cutting edge of AI technology and ensuring we have exceptional AI capabilities to drive customer success. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical and analytical expertise, combined with strong experience in end-to-end product development and design, ideally in a startup environment.
Responsibilities:
- Define and drive the vision, strategy, and roadmap for our AI initiatives focusing on: user-centric AI experiences, AI Quality, LLM strategies, and product innovation – ensuring alignment with company goals and market needs.
- Lead the end-to-end product development lifecycle from ideation and design to development and launch, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of user-focused products.
- Conduct competitive research to understand the latest trends in the AI space and determine the impact to you.com ’s user experience and internal roadmap.
- Combine internal benchmarks, industry benchmarks, and customer research to identify needs, deficiencies, market trends, and competitive landscape to inform the overall AI team product strategy.
- Work closely with engineering, sales, marketing, and customer success teams to ensure seamless product development and execution that prioritizes user satisfaction.
- Utilize your technical background to make informed decisions about product architecture, technology stacks, and integration strategies, with a focus on enhancing user experience.
- Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement in user engagement and satisfaction.
Qualifications:
- Experience : 10+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on AI/ML-augmented product development. Knowledge of AI/ML/Search quality eval background is a plus.
- Startup Experience: Proven track record of driving success as a PM in a startup or equivalent hyper growth environment
- Technical Expertise : Strong background in product development, machine learning or artificial intelligence, with a solid understanding of LLMs and their integration into products.
- Leadership: Demonstrated experience in leading product teams as an IC, with a strong ability to influence and inspire cross-functional teams.
- Analytical Skills: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical ideas clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences.
- Self-starter: Highly motivated, high energy, with a proactive attitude to continue to build a solid foundation for this team.
- Collaborative: Team player who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Education: Equivalent experience or relevant coursework to a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field. An advanced degree is a plus.
Our salary bands are structured based on a combination of geographic tiers and internal leveling. Compensation is determined by multiple factors assessed during the interview process, with the final offer reflecting these considerations.
Salary Band
$200,000 - $260,000 USD
