Job Summary
The Shi Law Group, PLLC is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated individual to join our estate planning practice. The ideal candidate will primarily support attorneys in document preparation, case management, and legal research, with a focus on delivering exceptional service to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Document Drafting: Draft, review, and proofread complex legal documents, including but not limited to Wills, Revocable and Irrevocable Trusts, Powers of Attorney, and various contracts.
- Case Management: Systematically manage case files from inception to closing, ensuring all internal and court-mandated deadlines are met.
- Legal Research: Conduct thorough legal research and assist in the preparation of filings and legal memoranda.
- Client Communication: Serve as a professional point of contact for clients, providing timely case updates and coordinating meetings.
- Administrative Support: Maintain electronic and physical filing systems and assist with other professional tasks as assigned by the managing attorney.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Law or a related field, including but not limited to Literature and Liberal Arts.
- Attention to Detail: Exemplary meticulousness and a "zero-error" mindset. The candidate must demonstrate an exceptional ability to identify clerical, grammatical, or logical inconsistencies in complex legal instruments.
- Motivation: A strong interest in the field of estate planning and a high level of motivation to acquire new legal knowledge and skills.
- Technical Skills: Superior drafting, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail. High level of proficiency in Microsoft Word and legal document management software.
- Professionalism: Proven ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the utmost discretion and ethical standards.
- Experience: Previous experience in US Estate Planning or Probate is a significant plus, though not required for candidates demonstrating exceptional potential.
