SALARY: In accordance with the DTO contract

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deliver individualized and small-group instruction aligned with IEP goals.

• Develop, implement, and IEPs in collaboration with the CSE team, families, and service providers.

• Adapt lessons and curricula to meet the needs of students.

• Collect and analyze data to inform instruction and report on student progress. Collaborate with other teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure inclusive practices.

• Maintain compliance with federal and New York State education laws and regulations.

• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and needs. Participate in professional development and contribute to a culture of learning and growth.

• Additional duties as assigned by administration

Qualifications:

• Current New York State Certification Special Education Birth-6 required or B-12 preferred

• Knowledge of IDEA, Part 200 regulations, and best practices in special education.

• Experience developing and implementing IEPs

• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

• Commitment to equity, inclusion, and fostering a supportive learning environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with high management needs, including those with high management needs, including those with significant cognitive disabilities, or physical disabilities.

• Familiarity with assistive technology and data-driven instruction.

• Experience working with diverse student populations and families.
