Manufacturing Associate-Compressor Assembly

We are looking for an entry-level Production Associate to join our Compressor and Sub-Assembly team at Bluefors. In this role, you will support key manufacturing operations that are critical to delivering high-quality products while gaining hands-on experience in a fast-paced production environment. Your tasks will include assisting and supporting various levels of production within compressor and sub-assembly operations, ensuring workflows run smoothly and efficiently. You will help maintain proper inventory levels by organizing and tracking materials needed for production. In addition, you will be responsible for keeping your work area, tools, and parts clean and well-organized to support safety and productivity standards. You may also take on additional duties assigned to support the broader production team and meet operational goals.

We are looking for a candidate with a high school diploma or GED, along with some related experience or training in a manufacturing or technical environment. You should have the ability to read and understand mechanical drawings, blueprints, and operational and safety documents. Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and working with fractions and decimals, are essential. The ideal candidate will be comfortable using hand tools and measuring instruments, demonstrate strong attention to detail, and show a willingness to learn. You should be dependable, adaptable, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, while maintaining clear communication and a strong commitment to safety.

Pay range: $19.23 – $24.03/hr. (DOE)

What We Expect from You

  • 1–3 months of related experience or training in a manufacturing or technical environment preferred

  • Ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, reach with arms and hands, and use hand and finger dexterity. The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment
This role operates in both office and manufacturing environments. The employee interacts with internal and external customers in a professional and courteous manner while maintaining confidentiality as needed. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers are used regularly. In the manufacturing environment, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, heat, cold, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level is usually moderately loud. Required personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as applicable.
