About the Role

We are seeking a mid-to-senior level Insurance Fraud Litigation Associate to join our New York office. The ideal candidate is an experienced litigator and highly skilled legal writer with substantial experience handling complex insurance fraud matters, civil litigation, and RICO-related claims.

This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated, high-exposure matters involving insurance fraud investigations, civil recovery actions, and coverage disputes involving both individuals and corporations. The associate will play a key role in case strategy, motion practice, and overall litigation management.

Responsibilities

• Handle complex insurance fraud litigation matters in both Federal and State courts.
• Draft and argue substantive motions, including motions to dismiss, motions for summary judgment, discovery motions, and other complex legal briefing.
• Propound and respond to written discovery, conduct and defend depositions, and manage all aspects of litigation strategy and case development.
• Conduct detailed legal research and prepare high-quality written work product.
• Collaborate with partners and litigation teams on forensic investigations involving insurance fraud and bad faith claims.
• Represent clients in connection with first- and third-party fraudulent claims and insurance coverage disputes.
• Attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and other litigation proceedings.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar and the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of New York (EDNY) and Southern District of New York (SDNY).
• 5+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably involving insurance fraud, complex commercial litigation, or RICO-related matters.
• Exceptional legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
• Demonstrated experience in civil litigation, preferably within a law firm setting.
• Strong litigation experience with a capacity to be a proactive team player.

Company Offers

• Salary Range $140,000-$185,000 + bonus.
• The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, and qualifications.
