Join a leading consultancy in financial services technology as a Senior Software Engineer based in New York City. This hybrid role is an opportunity to leverage your backend expertise in C# and .NET while contributing to innovative projects in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you will independently manage technical development while collaborating with clients and cross-functional teams to deliver transformative technology solutions. This role emphasizes backend development while incorporating modern front-end frameworks such as React.
Key Responsibilities:
- Backend Development Expertise: Design and develop robust backend systems using C# and the .NET framework, ensuring scalability and efficiency.
- Frontend Development Contribution: Utilize modern JavaScript frameworks like React to support front-end needs, emphasizing functional programming practices.
- Client Engagement: Collaborate with clients in a consultative, client-facing role to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Full-Stack Development: Execute full-stack development responsibilities, including integrating front-end and back-end components effectively.
- Cloud and CI/CD Implementation: Work with cloud platforms (Azure or AWS) and tools like TeamCity or Jenkins to support continuous integration and deployment pipelines.
- Agile Collaboration: Operate within Agile development methodologies, ensuring iterative progress and timely delivery of projects.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in backend development with C# and .NET.
- Strong proficiency in front-end technologies, particularly React and TypeScript.
- Ability to work autonomously in a client-facing capacity, with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of Agile development practices.
- Knowledge of financial services or data-intensive applications is highly advantageous.
Preferred Skills:
- Familiarity with microservices architecture.
- Experience with frameworks like Material UI, Terraform, and Entity Framework.
- Cloud expertise, particularly with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong skills in SQL and CI/CD tools like TeamCity or Jenkins.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary: $160,000 - $220,000 base, commensurate with experience.
- Bonus: Discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance.
- Work Policy: Hybrid role with 2-3 days per week on-site in New York City.
