Job Overview :

We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Psychiatric Technician (Psych Tech) to support our mental health team in delivering high-quality patient care. This role involves working closely with nurses, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to assist patients with behavioral health needs in inpatient or outpatient settings. The Psych Tech plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment and supporting patients in their recovery journey.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist in monitoring patients’ mental and physical conditions, including observing behavior changes and reporting concerns to nursing staff
• Support patients with daily living activities such as hygiene, grooming, feeding, and mobility
• Maintain a safe and structured therapeutic environment by following safety protocols and de-escalation techniques
• Conduct routine checks, including vital signs and general patient observations
• Assist in managing behavioral health crises, including responding to agitation or aggressive behavior using approved interventions
• Document patient interactions, behaviors, and progress accurately in the medical record system.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 year of experience as a Psychiatric Technician / Behavioral Health Associate or similar role (Acute care experience required)

Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - AHA (Required)
