Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our growing CPA firm. This role will be responsible for supporting the accounting team with core day-to-day accounting functions for multiple client accounts. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, and experience handling general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, and month-end closing processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Maintain and update general ledger accounts
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
• Prepare and post journal entries
• Support preparation of financial statements and management reports
• Review and maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records
• Provide bookkeeping and accounting support for multiple client accounts
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
• Work closely with senior accountants and partners on various accounting projects
• Maintain organized documentation and assist with audit or tax preparation as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (CPA firm experience preferred)
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and reconciliations
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and meet deadlines

Work Schedule:
This position operates on a hybrid schedule, with employees working in the office and the ability to work from home 1–2 days per week.

Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
