POSITION OVERVIEW

Client Engagement Specialist - Albany
The Client Engagement Specialist position is responsible gathering information by obtaining all necessary information regarding new clients to be seen at one of the Behavioral Health Center sites for either affiliate. this job offer will assist with obtaining records from other community providers, agencies, schools etc. regarding new and existing clients. this job offer will be the primary contact for all new referrals until a first appointment is arranged with a therapist. this job offer will work closely with the Supervising Screening and Engagement Specialist to coordinate with Behavioral Health Center Directors in assigning new referrals to the appropriate primary therapist.



RESPONSIBILITIES

»Receive initial phone inquiries and written referrals.

»Gather pertinent information as required by program in order to determine eligibility for services requested.

»Consult with Clinic Director or designee, as appropriate, to assess appropriateness of referral and assignment of clinician.

»Refer to alternate service providers as requested or needed.

»Identify all possible funding and service options available to client.

EDUCATION and/or practice
Requires a Bachelors degree and one to two years of related practice, or requisite education and practice.
