Demand Planner

Demand Planner - REMOTE / 2-4 days in office per month

We are seeking an experienced Demand Planner to join the Danessa Myricks Beauty team. The demand planner will be responsible for delivering accurate, timely forecasts that (1) support sales and marketing initiatives and (2) empower the supply planner to execute a strategic purchase plan. This newly created position is critical to achieving the Sales and Operations Planning goals of the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Forecast Management & Reporting:

• Own the maintenance and presentation of the 18 month unit /gross revenue demand forecast across all channels at the SKU level.
• Analyze historical sales, POS data, and seasonality to build a consensus forecast.
• Manage the inclusion of all one-time demand at the SKU level, including: gratis, secondary placements/endcaps, special retailer programs and promotional activities.
• Deliver new product forecasts on time leading alignment discussions, collecting pre-launch demand assumptions and marketing initiatives to then collaborate with supply planning in recommending initial and replenishment inventory investments.

Cross Functional Alignment and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP):

• With Sales & Marketing: collaborate to ensure demand plans gross revenue projections are directionally aligned with financial budgets and are inclusive of all retailer and marketing activities.
• With Supply Planning: endorse a procurement plan that supports high revenue products and key new collections while maintaining a productive inventory turn and meeting fiscal year-end inventory plans.
• S&OP Meetings:
  • Play a leading role in creating the monthly presentation to leadership ensuring key opportunities, challenges, and insights are discussed and driving decisions to be made within necessary business timeframes.

Work Schedule/Location: Monday through Friday, 9AM through 6PM remote / 2-4 days in office per month

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

The ideal candidate should have the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 5+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Forecasting, or related Sales & Operations Planning roles.
• Experience in beauty, CPG, retail companies is a must.
• Strong analytical skills (highly proficient in Excel) with proven ability to create ad hoc models and reports as needed.
• Clear, concise communicator with the ability to objectively present business cases and influence timely decision making.
• Team player with an eagerness to learn and take part in a fast-paced, scaling company.
