Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Behavioral Health | Auto Offer

Location: Clifton Springs, NY

Assignment Type: Travel Contract

Duration: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

Weekend Requirement: Every Other Weekend

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Behavioral Health Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in an inpatient psychiatric setting. This role focuses on patient safety, crisis intervention, and therapeutic communication to support individuals with mental health conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients in a behavioral health setting
• Assess, monitor, and document patient mental and physical health status
• Implement care plans and administer medications as prescribed
• Utilize crisis intervention and de-escalation techniques
• Manage patients exhibiting aggressive or assaultive behavior safely
• Foster a therapeutic and supportive environment for patients
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain accurate documentation using EMR systems

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN License (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 1 year of Behavioral Health RN experience
• BLS Certification
• Experience in inpatient psychiatric settings
• Strong skills in crisis intervention and behavior management

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Epic charting system
• Knowledge of:
  • De-escalation techniques
  • Managing assaultive behavior
  • Therapeutic communication approaches
