VP, Operations
At Arkadium, our purpose is simple- to have fun while creating fun. For 25 years, we’ve been behind some of the world’s most-played games, from the classic Solitaire that came with Windows to hundreds of web and mobile games enjoyed by millions of players around the globe.
As a proud Evergreen business, our values of Fierce Drive, Positive Energy, and Living Full Lives guide how we build products, lead teams, and grow sustainably. We are founder-led, privately held, and consistently recognized as a Best Place to Work, in other words, we’re not your typical games company.
Interested in becoming an Arkadian? We’d love to hear from you!
The Opportunity:
As VP, Operations, you will be the structural backbone of the business-the senior leader who builds and owns the internal infrastructure, governance and optimization that allows every other part of Arkadium to operate at its best. We need you to bring a passion for process and love of optimization to take us to new heights.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will lead four critical functions: HR & People, Legal, Finance, and Program Management. You'll be the operational force that translates Arkadium's ambitions into structured, scalable, accountable execution. You'll bring rigor to how we plan, hire, spend and deliver without ever losing sight of the culture and values that make this company special.
This is a builder role. You'll inherit strong foundations and talented functional leads — but you'll be expected to raise the bar on how the business operates as it scales through its next phase of growth. If you're energized by building systems, developing people, and creating clarity from complexity, this is the role for you.
What You'll Own
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to track operational performance. Implement processes that improve performance and drive the organization towards its goals.
- Collaborate with the head of HR on people practices that foster growth and excellence. Regularly conduct performance analysis in every department.
- Provide strategic growth insights to the CEO while ensuring that the organization remains ahead of potential risks
- Provide direct management oversight, and drive annual outcomes for the Project Management, HR, Legal and Finance teams
- Oversee the consistent presentation of clear financial information to the CEO and Board
- Manage the company's annual budgeting process and establish financial controls to stay on track
- Effectively manage high-level vendor relationships with attorneys, banks, auditors, and tax specialists
- Ensure legal, financial and operational compliance company-wide
- Empower and nurture the professional development of direct reports by actively promoting a culture of continuous growth, providing timely and constructive feedback
- As needed, recruit and build a team of A players by creating an environment that fosters individual and team excellence
Requirements
- 8–12+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, with significant time at VP, COO or equivalent level
- Background in digital media, gaming, SaaS or consumer technology- you understand the rhythms and demands of a digital-first business
- You have directly managed multi-disciplinary functional teams spanning people, legal and finance departments. You’re comfortable owning all three
- Track record of building and scaling operational infrastructure in a company of 100–500 people
- Experience managing or closely partnering with geographically distributed teams (US + international)
- Exposure to OKR frameworks, PMO structures or operational transformation programs
- Experience in a founder-led or independently owned company is a genuine advantage-you understand what it means to work with founders who care deeply about culture
- Naturally curious and eager to learn
Who You Are
- Calm, structured and reliable- teams trust you to bring clarity when things get complex
- Outcome-obsessed-you hold yourself and others to high standards without losing the humanity of leadership
- Genuinely passionate about the operational craft -you find satisfaction in a well-run business, not just a growing one
- Low-ego and direct-you give honest feedback, take honest feedback, and you don't need the spotlight
- Mission-aligned-you're excited by what Arkadium is building and want to be part of an independent, values-driven company
Benefits
- Competitive compensation with structured performance and career development check-ins
- Bonus & Equity
- Meaningful supplemental health insurance (medical, dental & vision plans)
