Sales Representative / Buyer ~ $2500 Sign-On Bonus

No Cold Calls

Farmingville, NY - Full-Time - $60k - $85k + $2,500 Bonus + Benefits

The Job at a Glance

Unique, fun, and exciting product sales opportunity for a dynamic, friendly, and engaging salesperson. The Heartland Roadshow, established in 2009, is a premier buyer of estate jewelry, precious metals, gold and silver coins, antiques, and collectibles. If you’ve ever seen “Antiques Roadshow”, this is similar to what we do. We set up boutique “buying events” at various hotel locations throughout the region, where folks come to sell us their estate items - primarily gold, silver, coins, and watches.. Unlike a true “sales” role, here you’re not actually “selling” anything (we’re “buying”) which means people are thrilled to be there and wait in line to meet with you. You’ll be trained to be an expert buyer of a wide variety of estate items. We are in search of someone with jewelry store experience - ideally with experience in buying gold and silver. If you have experience buying coins and watches, that’s a big plus as well.

Schedule & Travel Expectations

Buyers will be assigned to shows both within their home region and in locations that require extended travel. An example of the standard working schedule follows a consistent two-week cycle but may vary occasionally depending on the business needs:

  • 5 days on / 1 day off / 5 days on / 3 days off
  • Week 1 typically runs Tuesday–Saturday
  • Week 2 typically runs Monday–Friday

Buyers should expect to travel approximately two weeks each month. Travel may include assignments outside your home region where flights and lodging will be arranged. During these travel periods, your scheduled days off will be spent in the destination city. While you’ll have free time to explore or rest, flying home for personal obligations during off-days is not logistically feasible.

When assigned to shows within your home region, travel is typically done using your own reliable transportation. These assignments may offer more personal scheduling flexibility with advance notice and alignment with business needs.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, are comfortable being on the road, and can commit to a structured schedule with regular travel. There is no cold calling in this role – meet with warm, pre-qualified leads.

If you’re a driven salesperson looking for an exciting opportunity with no cold calling, apply today!

Advancement to the hands-on portion is contingent upon successful completion of the classroom training. Participation in both components is mandatory and must be completed individually.
