X-Ray Technologist – Radiology travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date: June 15, 2026 for a 13-week assignment. 12-hour shifts with weekend coverage and on-call requirements. Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and review physician orders before imaging
- Use x-ray equipment to acquire radiographs per orders; position patients and assist with mobility as needed
- Explain procedures to patients and address questions; ensure patient safety and comfort
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images and ensure correct labeling and PACS transmission
- Maintain radiation safety to minimize patient dose; promptly report damaged or malfunctioning equipment
- Maintain accurate patient records using electronic systems and follow dual-identification procedures

Requirements
- NYS license (or eligible to obtain prior to starting) and ARRT certification
- Completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology program
- 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience; Level 1 trauma center experience and OR experience preferred
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Experience using c-arm/o-arm within the past 8 months
- Ability to move/lift patients and stand for extended periods; ability to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts
