Description:
- This position is for a full-time Registered Nurse in Manhattan, NY, working with adults with chronic medical conditions and vision impairments.
- It requires a nursing license and involves working on a contract basis from Monday to Friday, 08:00 am to 04:00 pm.
- Proficiency in general technology is required.
Requirements:
- Complete nursing assessments and develop treatment plans.
- Monitor medications and maintain medical supplies.
- Handle medical emergencies and educate staff on procedures.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment.
- Provide health counseling and lead education groups.
- Act as a liaison with medical directors and physicians.
- Participate in performance improvement activities.
Qualifications:
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a current license.
- 3-5 years of recent experience in Med/Surg, Long Term Care, or Community Health.
- Experience in the geriatric field is preferred.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in general technology applications.
- UAS-NY certification preferred.
