Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care for adult Med/Surg patients, including postoperative care and monitoring for changes in condition.
- Administer medications and use IV pumps; manage N/G tubes and feeding tubes as prescribed; monitor output and fluid balance.
- Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, and the broader care team to develop and adjust care plans; document clearly in EPIC EMR.
- Monitor for and respond to clinical changes, implement falls prevention and safety protocols, and provide patient and family education.
- Float to other Med/Surg units as needed; adapt to unit needs while maintaining high standards of care.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license (Nursys verification) with all active RN licenses
- Current BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience; travel experience required
- EPIC EMR experience
- Valid driver’s license with address that matches demographics
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at submission
- Floating to other Med/Surg units required
- Local candidates within 75 miles may be eligible for local rate
