Summary:
Working with senior design staff, you will be assisting in solving major and complex engineering problems in one or more phases of a developmental project involving analysis, research design, Hardware circuit design, board bring up, development, fabrication and / or testing of a device or system. The electrical engineer will use schematics, FPGA Design and debug tools to achieve daily work tasks. Conducts the development of each assignment, coordinating engineering personnel assigned to each activity applicable to the particular assignment. Has some latitude for unreviewed action or decision; assignments are broad in nature usually requiring appreciable originality and ingenuity.
Requirements:- Help design, develop, modify and evaluate complex devices and / or systems. Assist in conceiving methods and alternatives for satisfying product goals, specifications and requirements of the project/assignment.
- Performs original complex analysis and design work of system and component parts in accordance with specifications.
- Designs or selects commercially available equipment, coordinates design results with other design groups: collaborates with other engineers to evaluate the merits of the design and makes changes accordingly.
- Conducts independent technical investigations involving the origination or modifications of material, components, or process specifications and requirements. Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services.
- Assists in preparation of bids and proposals as required.
- Circuit design and debugging experience with SBCs, CPUs, microprocessors, memory (DDR), SOC, FPGA (VHDL), and bus protocols (such as PCIe, I2C, SPI)
- Candidates must be a U.S. Person, defined as either a U.S. citizen or a lawful permanent resident (Green Card holder), and must be able to provide appropriate documentation upon hire to verify this status. Please note that some positions involve sensitive customer contracts and require U.S. citizenship as a condition of employment.
Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering or equivalent technical discipline. 3-8 years’ experience required.
Language Skills:
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills are required for effective interface with all internal and external contacts.
Other Skills and Abilities:
- Must have experience using test equipment (i.e. Oscilloscopes, Logic analyzers) Excellent analytical skills. Must be able to work with versatility and flexibility in a multi-task environment.
