As a Security Professional - Access Control Desk in Melville, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal at a leading tech and media location, you will monitor entry points, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents while maintaining a visible presence. What You'll Do:

• Monitor access control points to help protect personnel, property, and information at the location.
• Check credentials and verify authorization of individuals entering and exiting restricted areas, following site-specific procedures.
• Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures and policies tailored to the location, including those for technology, media, and telecom environments.
• Provide customer service while carrying out security-related duties and responding to inquiries from personnel and visitors.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, including following emergency response protocols when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the premises and surrounding areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Document all security-related incidents, observations, and activities in accordance with Allied Universal and client protocols.

Minimum Requirements:

• Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
