Architect/Architectural Designer

About the Position: We are seeking motivated Architectural professionals to join our Binghamton team. Whether you are an entry-level designer looking for mentorship through the NCARB Intern Development Program (IDP) or a seasoned Project Architect ready to lead complex commercial and institutional builds, we have a place for you. You will work on a diverse portfolio including educational facilities, municipal buildings, residential renovations, and interior spatial designs. Key Responsibilities Design & Development: Create innovative architectural designs, floor plans, and 3D renderings for commercial, industrial, and residential projects. Technical Documentation: Produce detailed construction drawings, specifications, and as-built plans using AutoCAD and Revit. Project Coordination: Collaborate across disciplines with in-house civil, structural, and environmental engineers to ensure integrated design solutions. Code Compliance: Ensure all designs adhere to NYS Building Codes, ADA requirements, and local zoning ordinances. Construction Administration: Conduct site visits, review submittals, and perform building inspections to ensure construction matches design intent. Client Engagement: (Mid-to-Senior levels) Lead client meetings, develop project scopes, and manage budgets and schedules. Required Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited program. Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD is required; experience with Revit and Adobe Creative Suite is highly preferred. Communication: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment. Detail Orientation: Keen eye for design accuracy and a commitment to high-quality project delivery. Preferred Qualifications Licensure: Registered Architect (RA) in New York State (or pursuing licensure). Sustainability: LEED AP certification or a strong interest in sustainable design principles. Experience: Experience with K-12, municipal, or healthcare architecture is a plus.
