We are seeking a highly skilled Architectural Drafter/Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Architecture or a similar degree and demonstrate excellent knowledge of building codes for multi-family projects. This role requires proficiency in Revit and a working knowledge of construction document preparation. The successful candidate will be an independent self-starter, capable of quickly adapting to new projects. Experience in mixed-use, multi-family, and commercial projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, detail, and draft plans for multi-family, commercial, and NYCHA projects, primarily in New York City.

• Utilize Revit and AutoCAD for project development.

• Manage multiple filings and drawing sets for large preservation and rehabilitation multifamily projects across the NY Metro Area.

• Lead a team of junior architects and consultants, ensuring client relationships are maintained and project deadlines are met.

• Visit project sites to assess conditions and develop practical solutions.

• Produce drawings and specifications for the renovation and restoration of numerous apartments in New York City and the surrounding region.

• Conduct site visits to take measurements and photographs of existing conditions.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture

• Proficiency in Revit

• Knowledge of building codes for multi-family projects

• Experience with historic preservation and rehabilitation

• Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience, including experience with BIM

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with NYCHA projects

• Experience in Affordable Housing, Design Development

• Familiarity with construction administration and project management

• Ability to manage client relationships effectively

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suffern, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $80000.00/hr.
