Location: Syracuse, NY

Duration: 15 Weeks

Compensation

• Travel: Up to $2,656 per week

• Local: Up to $2,035 per week

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to support the Adult Emergency Department / ICU Holding Unit in a fast-paced acute care environment. The RN will provide high-quality critical care nursing by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care for individuals requiring close monitoring and advanced clinical interventions.

The ideal candidate has recent ICU experience , strong clinical judgment, and the ability to work effectively in high-acuity hospital settings.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the ED/ICU holding unit.

• Perform detailed patient assessments and deliver critical care interventions.

• Monitor patient conditions and respond promptly to clinical changes.

• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and clinical protocols.

• Document patient care accurately using electronic medical record systems.

• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective care plans.

• Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes.

• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and procedures.

• Adhere to infection control guidelines and hospital safety standards.

• Participate in quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License – New York State

• BLS Certification

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent acute care nursing experience (within the last 2 years)

• Experience in large hospital or trauma center environments

• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Qualifications

• ICU nursing experience

• Emergency Department experience

• Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records

• Experience working in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers
