As part of the global Operations & Technology organization, the Data & Analytics team is focused on data and analytics strategies for the future. We support NBCU’s vast portfolio of brands - from broadcast, cable, news, and sports networks to film studios, world-renowned theme parks and a diverse suite of digital properties. The Data & Analytics team at is looking for a passionate Staff Data Analyst who’s looking to build the next generation of visualization solutions, AI Powered Analytics and Conversational Data Experiences that blend traditional BI with AI Agents, Chatbots and Self Service Analytics while working with internal stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and other technologists across one or more of our main subject areas. Responsibilities:

• Lead the process of visualizing data derived from multiple sources i.e., Manipulating data, flat files, and raw information into cohesive data sets for visualization and incorporating the results into actionable insights
• Gather reporting requirements from business stakeholders and convert them into technical solutions that give the users access to the data in a format that highlight actionable insights
• Transform large volumes of complex data into digestible bits to enable technical/non-technical end users make data driven decisions while optimizing the user experience and adhering to branding standards
• Design, Build and Support AI Assisted Analytics Experience including:
  • GenAI Powered Analytics interfaces using AWS Q, Snowflake Cortex, Power BI Copilot
  • Conversational AI and BI
  • AI Agents that help users explore data, summarize insights and explain trends
• Build visualizations that tell a story, making the best use of the canvas and leverage intuitive layouts
• Act as a subject matter expert in the design and recommendation of visualization methodologies and approaches
• Define and align common KPIs across multiple functional groups
• Participate in development sprints, demos, and retrospectives, alongside releases and deployment
• Work with key stakeholders and data engineering team to ensure quality and integrity for products delivered
• Coach and guide others within the D&A organization to build and implement best practices for Visualization solutions
• Stay Current with Emerging trends, GenAI, AI Agents, MCPs and Conversational Analytics Platforms

Qualifications

• 8+ years of related Data Analytics experience
• 5+ years of progressive experience in visualization solution development building of data and analytics products
• 2+ years of experience with SQL or other data discovery/analysis platforms in a capacity supporting day-to-day operations
• 2+ years of experience in a business-facing analytical role and proven track record of related success
• 3+ years of experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, SAC, MSTR)
• Direct experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT development principles, Airflow Development, cloud development, and data warehousing concepts
• Practical Experience applying Enterprise AI Analytics capabilities such as Snowflake Cortex, Power BI Copilot, AWS Q or comparable GenAI- enabled platforms

Desired Characteristics:

• Powerful Storytelling with large, complex datasets
• 2+ years working with Power BI and Tableau
• Strong experience in SQL, DB and ELT tools such as Snowflake, Redshift
• Experience or previous exposure to federated query engines (Trino / Starburst)
• Familiarity with cloud solutions and cloud storage (AWS S3, Azure Data Lake Storage)
• Media-focused - Strong working knowledge of media including broadcast TV, digital, and mobile
• Communicator – You have excellent verbal and written skills with the ability to communicate ideas effectively across all levels of the organization, both technical and non-technical
• Action-oriented – You're constantly figuring out new problems and are regularly showing results with a positive attitude, always displaying ethical behavior, integrity, and building trust
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and best practices
• You’ve dealt with ambiguity and can make quality decisions in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
