Water/Wastewater Engineer
Location: Rochester, NY (Primary) or Alternative offices in Horseheads, NY | Binghamton, NY | Towanda, PA | Williamsport, PA
Employment: Full-Time, Direct Hire
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (Summer hours: 8:00 AM–4:00 PM)
Compensation: $90,000–$110,000 DOE + Profit Sharing & Performance Bonuses

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Water/Wastewater Engineer (5-7 years) to support municipal and private sector infrastructure projects. You will play a key technical role in planning, designing, and constructing water and wastewater systems while collaborating closely with senior engineers and project managers. This opportunity is ideal for engineers looking to grow toward project management while staying hands-on.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop water and wastewater treatment, distribution, and collection systems.
• Prepare detailed plans, specs, and reports using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Perform hydraulic modeling and process design under senior staff guidance.
• Coordinate with project managers, clients, and regulatory bodies for permitting and compliance.
• Conduct field investigations, site visits, and assist with construction administration.
• Contribute to multidisciplinary civil, environmental, and structural projects.
• Participate in client meetings, offering technical input and design recommendations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline.
• EIT required; PE preferred or on track to obtain within 1–2 years.
• 5–7 years of water/wastewater system design or related experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and familiarity with hydraulic modeling tools (WaterCAD, SewerCAD, etc.).
• Knowledge of local/state regulatory permitting processes.
• Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills.
