Line Cook

Il Buco Restaurant Group is seeking dedicated and skilled Line Cooks for Il Buco al Mare, our Hamptons restaurant, for the Summer 2026 season. This is a seasonal position, expected to start ASAP and run through October 2026.

We are looking for team members who thrive in a fast-paced restaurant environment, are reliable, and are committed to delivering excellence in the kitchen.

The requirements for success are:

Three or more years of experience working in a fast-paced kitchen

Including:

• Able to work multiple stations: Hotline required;
• Quality Control- Proficient in protein cooking, temperature doneness, ensuring foods are being prepared according to the al mare standards;
• We uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety. As a line cook, you will play a crucial role in maintaining these standards, ensuring that our food prep and storage unit areas are always safe and sanitary;
• Advanced knife skills;
• We value teamwork. As a line cook, you will be an integral part of our kitchen, communicating with all levels, from Dishwashers to Executive Chefs, and contributing to our shared success;
• Assist with kitchen DOH prep and maintenance, as needed by chefs.

Seasonal, Summer 2026 (start immediately and work until October, depending on business needs)

• Teamwork: Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen environment

• Ability to read, write, and speak in English

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.
• Standing for 4 to 8 hours per shift with occasional bending and reaching.
• Ability to work in a Kitchen environment with varying temperatures.
